AUSTIN,
Texas--Jan. 7, 2004. "We are excited to offer service to our customers through the use of the industry’s leading asset management software, Alienbrain®," commented Matt Scibilia, President of CMI. "Alienbrain® is an essential part of our tight development cycle." “In videogame development,” explained CMI VP of Development Billy Cain, “thousands of files are shared with as many as hundreds of people. As a manager, ensuring that each employee is working on the most up to date file is daunting to say the least.” Alienbrain® also allows assets to go through custom-defined sign-off procedures. This allows for a streamlined development process saving clients time and money. “With this tool, CMI offers a better service to our customers,” says Cain. Alienbrain® software allows multiple users the ability to access and share files across any network. If an individual opens a particular document, the file is labeled as “checked out.” Once any document has been checked out, it is no longer accessible to any other individuals. It can, however, be viewed in a read-only format. For developers, this means having less risk to make mistakes during development cycles. CMI joined forces with Avid© in an effort to help market Alienbrain® through the use of their assets. In exchange for the rights to artwork, Avid© granted CMI a number of seats of their powerful technology. “We believe in Alienbrain®, having already used it for years,” added Scibilia, “We are proud to offer our assistance to market and campaign this software.” |
